Once again Microsoft has tried to buy Yahoo's search engine And once again, the offer was turned down. According to Yahoo - Microsoft gave the Sunnyvale, California company just 24-hours to respond to their latest offer -- which would have dismantled Yahoo's internet franchise.. In a statement, Yahoo Chairman Roy Bostock said, "it is ludicrous to think that our board would accept such a proposal." Bostock also called it 'completely absurd and irresponsible' for refusing to hold any further talks with Yahoo's current management. Microsoft hasn't commented. Yahoo does say it's willing to sell the entire company to the world's largest software maker for roughly 47-billion or 33-dollars a share. Their shares closed at 23-dollars on Friday. Many analysts feel in order to stay competative with internet giant Google -- Yahoo and Microsoft will eventually have to join forces. ___ ___, The Associated Press.
